Description	:	Duane John Stark, 84, rural Donnybrook, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at a Minot hospital. Duane was born Sept.22, 1932, in Kenmare, to John and Auguste (Stoll) Stark. He was raised on the family farm near Donnybrook and attended the Ivanhoe Township School. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Tolley. Read More	Duane John Stark, 84, rural Donnybrook, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at a Minot hospital. Duane was born Sept.22, 1932, in Kenmare, to John and Auguste (Stoll) Stark. He was raised on the family farm near Donnybrook and attended the Ivanhoe Township School. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Tolley. At a young age Duane took over the family farm and further supported his family by working on the railroad. On Oct. 21, 1956, Duane married the love of his life, Louise Fuchs, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Tolley. They were blessed with two children, David John and Shelly Rose. Duane continued to farm, along with milk cows. During the winter months, he put his master carpentry skills to good use. He worked on multiple buildings at Minot State University, the Minot AFB, and other projects around North Dakota and Minnesota. He recently helped with the reconstruction of the church at the Renville County Historical Society. Over the years, Duane got to know many people while serving on numerous township and county boards, along with being on the church board of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tolley. Duane loved to spend time with family and friends at the family cabin at Mouse River Park. Many weekends he could be found on the deck playing dominoes. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, music, reading, going to auction sales, World War II history and traveling abroad with family. Family: wife of 60 years, Louise “Snookie”Stark, rural Donnybrook; son, David (Robin) Stark, Tolley; daughter, Shelly (Leslie) Randash, Minot; grandchildren, Jessica Stark, Katie (Keith) Hanson, Matthew (Michelle) Stark, Justine (Erik) Hanson, all Tolley, Donna Randash, Minot, Cody Randash, rural Donnybrook, Rebekah Randash, Minot; great-grand-children, Ella, Beau, Chase, Ava and Liam Hanson; sister, Janet (John) Bertsch, Minot; brother, Gerald Stark, Spearfish, S.D.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Duane was preceded in death by: his parents; granddaughter, Lindsay Stark; infant brother, Irwin Stark; sister-in-law, Jeanie Stark; niece, Heidi (Stark) Gonzalez. Funeral: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tolley. Burial: McKinney Cemetery, rural Tolley.
