Description	:	Duane Lee Fleischman, 84, of Palmyra, Nebraska, passed away Monday, November 19th in Las Vegas, NV surrounded by his family. Duane was born May 21st , 1934 in Kearney, Nebraska to Henry and Edna (Winkler) Fleischman. He attended school at a country school near Eagle/Palmyra and graduated from Eagle High School in 1951. He grew up farming with his father for many years before taking over the family farm. On March 21st, 1965, he married Valoris Meyer from Tobias, Nebraska. Read More	Duane Lee Fleischman, 84, of Palmyra, Nebraska, passed away Monday, November 19th in Las Vegas, NV surrounded by his family. Duane was born May 21st , 1934 in Kearney, Nebraska to Henry and Edna (Winkler) Fleischman. He attended school at a country school near Eagle/Palmyra and graduated from Eagle High School in 1951. He grew up farming with his father for many years before taking over the family farm. On March 21st, 1965, he married Valoris Meyer from Tobias, Nebraska. They raised two children, Julie and Daren and celebrated 53 years of Marriage. During that time, he also was known to build a house or two during the winter months and had a large hand in building Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eagle and the Elmwood Public Library. He was past President of the Alvo/Eagle Rural Fire Department for several years and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He finally retired from farming in 1996. After retiring he enjoyed reading and watching anything with a Cowboy in it! He also enjoyed traveling with his family and after retirement took many trips with Raymond and Freda Hanson to Branson and other places including a cruise to Alaska. He would be frequently found at a neighbors house "visiting" or even chatting away with a complete stranger. He would never turn down a piece of pie or any dessert, but especially Pie! He was survived by his wife, Valoris, daughter Julie (Norm) Smith of Las Vegas, NV, Son, Daren (Paula) Fleischman of Palmyra, NE, five grandchildren D.J., Shawn and Jeremy Fleischman of Palmyra, NE, Mairen and Maya Smith of Las Vegas, NV, and one Niece, Jane (Steve) Heine of Lincoln, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Eleanor Fleischman and a Nephew, David Fleischman.
