Description	:	MINDEN — Duane Olson, 92, of Minden died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at the family farm in Kearney County near Minden. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Layton-Craig Funeral Home in Minden with Brian Hannigan officiating. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Minden Cemetery. Read More	MINDEN — Duane Olson, 92, of Minden died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at the family farm in Kearney County near Minden. Duane was born on June 16, 1923, in Minden to John and Louise (Lindberg) Olson. He grew up in the Minden area and graduated from Minden High School then attended Bible school in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. Duane married Janice Larsen on Nov. 24, 1954, in Hastings and they made their home at his farm near Norman and later near Minden. They had four children, Doug, Greg, Brad and Darin. Survivors include his sons, Doug and wife Julie of Alliance, Greg and wife Michelle of Denver, Brad of Minden and Darin and wife Lynnette of Lincoln; grandchildren, Katrina and husband Tom Young, Jonathan Olson, Thomas Olson, Philip Olson, Brenna Olson, Craig Olson, Scott Olson and Leah Olson; and great-grandsons, Andrew and Gabriel Young. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2012; brothers, Harold and Gene; sisters, Ardyce and Eilene; and a sister who died in infancy. Duane devoted his life to serving the Lord, to caring for his family and his farm. He ministered help to everyone who crossed his path. He was faithful to God and the church, and leaves behind a large church family from all over the United States and Canada, who will miss his words of wisdom and quiet strength. Duane’s incredible knowledge of the Scriptures and his service to God was an inspiration to many. His loving and gentle spirit blessed all who knew him.
