Description	:	Duane Murra, 70, died suddenly Monday morning, August 2, 2010, at his home in Sioux Falls, the result of an apparent heart attack. Duane Verlyn Murra was born in Lincoln County, South Dakota on March 1, 1940, the son of Andrew and Fannie (Bultena) Murra. Read More	Duane Murra, 70, died suddenly Monday morning, August 2, 2010, at his home in Sioux Falls, the result of an apparent heart attack. Duane Verlyn Murra was born in Lincoln County, South Dakota on March 1, 1940, the son of Andrew and Fannie (Bultena) Murra. He attended public school in Worthing and graduated from Worthing High School in 1958. On September 17, 1960 he was married to Beverly Counter. They lived in Lennox and had one son, Todd. She died in November of 1963. Duane was married to Loxie Voigt on June 17, 1972 at Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. They had one son, Cory. They lived in Sioux Falls where Duane was employed at John Morrell & Co. for 38 years until his retirement. Duane had been a member of Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying baseball as a pitcher, track and basketball. He was an excellent marksman and hunter and also enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly; his mother, Fannie, on September 2, 1976 and his father, Andrew, on July 17, 1992. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Loxie, two sons: Todd Murra and his wife Shelly and Cory Murra and his wife, Vicki, all of Sioux Falls; four grandchildren: Andee Marie Murra, Austin Patrick Murra, Collin James Murra and Brady Lynn Murra; one brother, Gene Murra and his wife, Barbara, of Brookings; plus other relatives and many friends. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Aug.4 at Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, Lennox, SD with burial in the Lennox Cemetery.
