A retired maintenance mechanic for the Kansas Turnpike, Mr. Davidson died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital at Wichita. Mr. Davidson had lived at Cassoday since 1953, moving there from Wichita where he had lived for two years. Davidson, 64 of Cassoday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cassoday United Methodist Church. A retired maintenance mechanic for the Kansas Turnpike, Mr. Davidson died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital at Wichita. Mr. Davidson had lived at Cassoday since 1953, moving there from Wichita where he had lived for two years. Born near Burlington on Aug. 5, 1905, he was married to Violet Johnson at El Dorado on Feb. 25, 1926. She preceded him in death in 1953. Mr. Davidson lived in El Dorado for several years prior to moving to Wichita. He was employed by the El Dorado Refining Company from 1926 until 1941, and worked for the Boeing Company from 1951 until 1964. He was employed by the Kansas Turnpike for four years prior to retiring in 1968. Mr. Davidson was a member, of the Christian church at Sapulpa, Okla. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Harsh of 1825 Webb, a son, Marvin Davidson of Wichita and a sister, Mrs. Helen Cornwell of Topeka. There are seven grandchildren. The Rev. C. M. Nutter, staff member at the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado, will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery. The casket will be closed at the service. Friends may call at the Kirby Funeral Home before that hour.
