Description	:	Duncan McMartin, 86, died Sunday at St. Josehp's Hospital in Omaha, where he had been a patient about two weeks priro to which he had resided at the Masonic Home at Perry. Mr. McMartin was born December 3, 1874 at Dunlap, the son of A. L. and Harriet McMartin. On March 15, 1899, he was united in marriage to Laura Piearson. They farmed several years near Massena before he joined the staffs of the Federal Land Bank at Des Moines and Webster City. Mr. McMartin was born December 3, 1874 at Dunlap, the son of A. L. and Harriet McMartin. On March 15, 1899, he was united in marriage to Laura Piearson. They farmed several years near Massena before he joined the staffs of the Federal Land Bank at Des Moines and Webster City. They later lived in Atlantic and then moved to Anita on an acreage on West Main Street. Mrs. McMartin died June 28, 1858. Mr. McMartin was a 50 year member of Massena Comfort Lodge Af & AM and Past Patron of the OES. He is survived by a son, Varel of Massena; a foster son, Jack of Long Beach, California; 5 grandchildren, and a brother, Dr. Kenneth McMartin of Omaha. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a sister Madge and four brothers, Ralph, Harold, Ned, and Charles. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Massena Methodist church with the Rev. Carl Crouse officiating. Mrs. Robert Peel, organist, accompanied Mrs. Gerald Wollenhaupt, who sang "Hold Them My Hand" and "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. Frank Weimer and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Jensen were in charge of flowers. Casket-bearers were Harold Mills, Floyd Jensen, Lowell Stanley, Levi South, Howard Arp, and Frank Weimer. Interment was in the Victoria Township cemetery with Masonic graveside services by Comfort Lodge No. 515.
