Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Military honors were conducted by the Codington County Post 17 of the American Legion and the South Dakota Army National Guard. Dwaine was... Read More	Dwaine E. "Dewey" Keiser, age 77, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2009 in his home at Watertown. Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Military honors were conducted by the Codington County Post 17 of the American Legion and the South Dakota Army National Guard. Dwaine Eldon Keiser was born on April 20, 1932 to Clifford and Gladys (Rasmussen) Keiser in Vienna, South Dakota. He went to country school at Dixon #5 and graduated from Vienna High School. Dwaine was confirmed in the Pleasant Lutheran Church in Vienna. On December 16, 1951 he married Vivian M. Keith in the Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown. Dwaine was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1954. He was employed with Timmerman Woodworking for 39 years and retired in 1994. He then delivered medication to homes for the Medicine Shoppe, and later was a delivery man for Pond's Bakery in Watertown. Vivian passed away on November 8, 2002. Dwaine was an avid bowler, an assistant scout master through the Grace Lutheran Church, and coached baseball for many levels. Dwaine was instrumental in getting little league baseball in Watertown. He was also with the American Legion Baseball team. He was a member of Dakota Sportsman, the Elks Lodge and the American Legion. He loved to hunt and fish, playing cards at Dakota Sioux Casino, and play aggravation with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vivian of 50 years; his brother, Robert Keiser; his father-in-law; brother-in-law, and three sisters-in-law. Dwaine is survived by his children, Cathy (Mark) Wientjes, Cindy (Greg) Dargatz, Darla (David) Snow and Brian (Pam) Keiser; his brother, Merle (Verna) Keiser; his mother-in-law, Ethel Keith; a sister-in-law, Gloria Keith; his uncle, Darwin (Delma) Rasmussen; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; special friends, Herb and Georgia Timmerman; and many nieces and nephews.
