Read More	Dwayne Darrell Robuck July 4, 1942 - January 15, 2021 Obituary for Dwayne Darrell Robuck Dwayne Darrell Robuck was born July 4, 1942 in Knoxville, Iowa the son of Icle and Letha (Allen) Robuck. He was raised in Knoxville and graduated from Knoxville High School with the class of 1960. Following high school, Dwayne worked at the Jones & Bailey Shell Station, which he eventually purchased. On July 19, 1963 he was united in marriage to Genia Bittner, and to this union two sons, Michael and Jeffrey were born. Dwayne also worked at Goff & Nash as a machinist, a bus mechanic for the Knoxville Schools and he owned and operated Robuck’s Fast Lube. He also spent most of his life working at the Knoxville Raceway; he was a turn 3 official and assisted the fire crew. Dwayne was a longtime member of the Marion County Fairboard and is a member of the Knoxville Raceway Hall of Fame. He also served as the Fire Chief for the City of Knoxville for many years. Racing was in Dwayne’s blood; he was the owner of the #12 sprint car from 1971-2003. He had traveled to 42 states and 2 countries participating in sprint car racing. He loved traveling with friends and family to other racetracks and there is a story about every journey. Dwayne also enjoyed fireworks, riding his Harley, and the challenge of repairing anything people brought to him. His greatest joys were serving the racing community and the Knoxville community and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Dwayne passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at his home at the age of 78 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patricia and uncle, Dwight Allen. Those left to honor Dwayne’s memory include his wife, Genia; sons: Michael (Melonie) Robuck and Jeffrey (Teresa) Robuck; grandchildren: Kieran Robuck and Quinlan Robuck; siblings: Dwight (Pat) Robuck and Carm (Dick) Darnell and many nieces and nephews and countless friends. A Celebration of Life for Dwayne “Pucky” Robuck, age 78 of Knoxville, will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum where the family will receive friends. Please wear your race t-shirts and jeans. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dwayne Robuck Memorial, the Knoxville Fire Department or to the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum.
