Description	:	E.C. Boyles, 87, of 1377 E. Poinsett Street Ext., died July 21, 2013 at Magnolia Place of Greenville. A native of Anderson, son of the late Melvin Floyd and Clara Hiott Boyles, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran aboard the USS Tinsman, a retired employee of Lyman Printing and Finishing after 20 years of service, and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. A native of Anderson, son of the late Melvin Floyd and Clara Hiott Boyles, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran aboard the USS Tinsman, a retired employee of Lyman Printing and Finishing after 20 years of service, and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mr. Boyles upon doctor's request spent his last year at Magnolia Place of Greenville. While there, he was an inspiration to all he came in contact with. Mr. Boyles loved his Lord and Savior as well as all family and friends. A special thanks to Mr. Robert Hendrix for being a great friend at Magnolia Place. Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Nellie Faye Boyles of the home; a son, Edwin Carol Boyles (Page) of Greer; a brother, John Boyles (Judy) of Duncan; a sister, Elizabeth Reynolds of Anderson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Boyles was predeceased by one brother, Melvin Paul Boyles. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Pastor Paul Manous. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 12:30-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary. The families are at their respective homes.
