Eva Cecelia Boucher was born December 6, 1924, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the daughter of Wilford Lucien and Eva Grace (Payson) Boucher. She attended school in Lawrence, Massachusetts and later attended EEG Technicians School in Chicago, Illinois. On August 7, 1943, Cecelia was united in marriage to Lewis Marion Fenton at Grenier Field in Manchester, New Hampshire. Cecelia was raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts and later moved to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. She lived in California, Iowa City, Iowa, and Holiday Lake, Iowa, before moving to Washington, Iowa. She worked as an EEG Technician for the VA Hospital in Iowa City for 25 years until her retirement in 1975. She was a member of the Ainsworth Community Church, the VFW Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, and the Creative Writing Chapter of Fortnightly. Cecelia had a love of animals and was a driving force in the creation of Paws and More Animal Shelter. She is survived by two daughters, Jacquelyn Lee Shepherd and husband Ned of Bettendorf, Iowa; and Elaine Cecile Moore and husband Mike of Washington, Iowa; as well as seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
