This book may now be read online. ------------------------------------------- Obituary From “Ottumwa Courier,” Transcribed from Original Copy: Mrs. Eady Cobler Miller, wife of William H. Miller, who resides on North Jefferson street, died suddenly Monday morning April 10. On Sunday she seemed as well as usual and the day was spent with relatives and friends near Bladensburg. About midnight Sunday she was taken with an attack of heart trouble and died about an hour later. Mrs. Miller was born September 19, 1939. She was the daughter of Louis and Nancy Cobler, and had been a resident of Wapello county since 1843. For the past few years, Mr. and Mrs. Miller had resided in Ottumwa but their acquaintance and social life has been largely with the friends near Bladensburg. Mrs. Miller’s life was given largely the friends near Bladensburg. Mrs. Miller’s life was given largely to her home and family. She leaves two sons and a daughter, Louis E. Miller, C.E. Miller and Mrs. Mary J. Giltner. She was a member of the Christian church of Bladensburg having united with the church in August, 1896. Mr. and Mrs. Miller were among the early settlers of the county and a large company of friends gathered at the family residence to attend the funeral services which were conducted on Wednesday afternoon by Rev. W.J. Lockhart, pastor of the First Christian church. The deceased was highly respected and loved by all who knew her and many a home shall miss her kind and wholesome influence. Contributed.
