Read More	EARL BLAINE GALLUP 1918 - 2010, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grand- father and friend, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2010 in Cardston, Alberta at the age of 92. Blaine was born February 21, 1918 in Rigby, Idaho to Amos Luke Gallup and Ida Maud Dillie. As a young boy the family moved to Alberta, Canada and settled in Rosemary. He married Minnie Amelia Martin on December 14, 1939 in the Cardston Alberta Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have been married for 71 years. Blaine and Minnie lived for a time in Rosemary where Blaine worked on the family dairy farm. They eventually settled in Cardston where they raised their family. Blaine worked for many years in the Cardston Post Office as the assistant postmaster and in Warner as the postmaster. They were blessed with nine children, Harold, Stephen, Delbert, Mary Ellen, Susan, Roger, Dan, Paula and Eva. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many capacities. When Blaine retired, he and Minnie served a mission for the LDS Church in the Philippines. They had a wonderful experience and have a great love for the Filipino people. They also served an LDS mission in Salt Lake City at the Family History Library. Blaine was known as an honest, hardworking man with a great sense of humor and profound love for his family. He is survived by his faithful wife, Minnie Martin Gallup; his children, Harold (Connie) of Lethbridge, AB; Delbert (Jeanie) of Redondo Beach, CA; Mary Ellen (Mark) Bauer of Boise, ID; Susan (Michael) McPeek of Boise, ID; Roger (Ronda) of Denver, CO; Dan (Suzanne) of Cedar Hills, UT; Paula (Rob) Ellingson of Grapevine, TX; and Eva (Waid) Isfeld of Cardston, AB; 28 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen; grandsons, Dan Nabors, Arthur Francis Gallup; siblings, Roy Gallup, Thelma Norton, Randall Gallup, Scott Gallup and Melvin Gallup. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Temple Street Chapel, Cardston, Alberta on Monday, November 1st, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Friends may meet the family at the Church from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the Service.
