Earl was born in Bridgeport, NE on October 24, 1935 to Lester and Opal (Stites) Boman. Earl lived his whole life in Broadwater and was a farmer. He dedicated his life to the family farm and the farm was his place of contentment and happiness. Although he never married Earl’s nieces and nephews regarded him as an extra parent and he loved them as children. He spent time with his nieces and nephews, farming, hunting, going on trips to Mt. Rushmore, teaching them to shoot and ride bicycles and those events and memories are cherished. The last four years of Earl’s life was spent at the Village in Scottsbluff. Earl was appreciative and thankful for the care and friendship that he experienced from the nurses and staff at the village. He is survived by a sister-in-law Grace Boman of McCook; eight nieces and nephews Coleen (Chuck) Wilcox of Palisade, Rita (Bob) Waltemath of McCook, Clif (Sophie) Boman of Broadwater, Lorraine Hill of McCook, Matt (Paula) Sawyer of Lawrenceburg KY, Shannon Sawyer of Grayson, KY, Stephanie Cunto of Hendersonville, NC, and Allison (Jonathan) Maready of Roper, NC along with at least 73 great and great-great nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, sister, Ivan Boman and Dora Mae Boman Sawyer and a brother-in-law Ronald Sawyer.
