His body was shipped to Addison where the funeral was held Wednesday afternoon. The interment took place in Honey Creek cemetery. The particulars concerning the death of this young man cannot be learned at this time and whether he was a brakeman in the yards and was run down or whether he was employed on one of the trains and fell while making a coupling is not known. Only the fact that he was killed has been made known here and at his home village Addison and the news of his death has thrown that quiet little place into deepest grief as the young man was universally popular. He had been railroading but a short time and he learned th work so readily that it was freely predicted a bright future was in store for him. The death of young Gabriel is a particularly sad one occurring as it does so soon after his marriage and a young wife is left to a loss that is irreparable. Young Gabriel was 23 years of age and was the son of Simon Gabriel one of the best known men of Jackson Township.
