Description	:	Earl Glasgow Booth, son of Mary Glasgow and Elvie J. Booth, was born April 6, 1890 at Promise city and departed this life on July 11, 1958 at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 5 days. He was married to Susanna Barbara Bell on March 7, 1917. To this union two children were born, Mrs. Richard D. Jossart of Tacoma, Wash., and E. G. Booth, Jr. of Indianola, Iowa. Read More	Earl Glasgow Booth, son of Mary Glasgow and Elvie J. Booth, was born April 6, 1890 at Promise city and departed this life on July 11, 1958 at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 5 days. He was married to Susanna Barbara Bell on March 7, 1917. To this union two children were born, Mrs. Richard D. Jossart of Tacoma, Wash., and E. G. Booth, Jr. of Indianola, Iowa. Throughout his life he lived in Wayne County and followed the occupation of dairy farming. He was a pioneer in modern methods of farming and as a dairyman established a modern dairy for Corydon and Wayne County. He served his community by being active in many organizations. He was a charter member of the Farm Bureau, a 50-year member of the Odd Fellows, a member of the Wayne County Historical Society, a member of the Wayne County Fair Board, a member of the Wayne County Extension Council for the Iowa Department of Agriculture and a director of the Security State Bank of Allerton. He joined the church in his early years and for 33 years he and his wife have served the Corydon Methodist Church in many capacities. he always found time to be a good neighbor, friend and a most loving and devoted father. He is survived by his wife, daughter and son, six grandchildren, his sister, Mrs. R. F. Abel of Corydon, his older brother, W. W. Booth of Des Moines and a younger brother of St. Petersburg, Florida. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. M. E. Weston officiating. Pallbearers were directors of the Security State Bank, Perry Sears, Guy Sprow, Zell Garratt, Fred Reed, Hollie Duncan and Glen Greenlee. Interment was in the Corydon Cemetery.
