Description	:	Earl L. Dodds Rites Held Here Monday. Final rites for Earl L. Dodds 55, former resident of Keosauqua, were held at the Burnett funeral home Monday afternoon at 2:00 O'clock. The Rev. Edwin Skoglund of Hillsboro had charge of the service. Mrs. Arthur J. Secor read a poem as a special part of the service. This was accompanied on the piano by Mrs. James A. Craig. The Keosauqua Masonic Lodge conducted their part of the service at the funeral home. Interment was in the Purdom cemetery. Mr. Dodds, a salesman for the Embalmers Supply Co., of Westport, Conn., was killed when his car collided with a stock truck on highway 64, a mile north of Melbourne. He was returning to his home at Des Moines from a business trip to Waterloo. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Mary Dodds; two sons, Charles and James Dodds, all of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. D. D. Stewart of Wichita, Kansas; and his mother, Mrs. Nora Early Dodds of Hillsboro. The Dodds family lived in Keosauqua until about 27 years ago. Mr. Dodds father owned the funeral home here and was bought out by Harry Burnett.
