Morford, was born at Beaver Crossing, Nebraska, August 7, 1894, and died at the Lincoln General Hospital May 23, 1927, aged 32 years, 9 months and 16 days. He spent his whole life near Beaver Crossing with the exception of the time spent in the army. Of the... Read More	Earl R Morford Obit Earl R. Morford, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Morford, was born at Beaver Crossing, Nebraska, August 7, 1894, and died at the Lincoln General Hospital May 23, 1927, aged 32 years, 9 months and 16 days. He spent his whole life near Beaver Crossing with the exception of the time spent in the army. He entered the service of his country Oct. 5, 1917 and was honorable discharged from the United States Army June 3, 1919. He served with the Medical Detachment of 355th Infantry 89th Division. Of the twenty months he spent in the army twelve months were spent overseas where he took part in the following engagements: Lucy Sector St. Mihiel offensive, Euaczin Sector France, and Muse Argonne Offensve. After the war he served several months in the Army of Occupation. He leave to mourn his untimely death a father, J.C. Morford, mother, Mrs. J. C. Morford, and two brothers, Will R. and Vilas J. and other relatives and a host of friends. He united with the Methodist church of Beaver Crossing in 1908, and was a young man of the highest moral and Christian character. His death is a real loss to the community. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. E. Drum yesterday afternoon, and assisted by the American Legion, a choir, composed of Mark Whitnah, Raymond Moorberg, Earl Horner and Grover Amos, accompanied by Mrs. Lulu Opp. and Vera Borden.
