His death was due to cancer, with which he had been suffering for the last year. Read More	EARL THOMAZIN, 31, FARMER IN JOLIET, IS CANCER VICTIM -- Earl Robert Thomazin, 31, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomazin, of Joliet township, died yesterday morning at Bryan Memorial hospital in Lincoln, where he had been a patient for the last ten days. His death was due to cancer, with which he had been suffering for the last year. Despite his affliction and almost constant pain, he won the admiration of his physicians and nurses for his unfailing fortitude and patience. He was born on the old Thomazin homestead in Joliet township on Feb. 21, 1906, and a few years later moved with the family to another part of the Thomazin estate, one mile west, where he spent the remainder of his life. He attended school at Dist. 64, and graduated with the first class after the high school grades were added. Mr. Thomazin remained at home with his parents after completing his schooling. He was unmarried. Baptized and later confirmed in the Bethany Lutheran church, he was a devout member of the church throughout his life.]] He is survived by his parents; three sisters, Mrs. John Reeg, Mrs. Ferd Pearson and Mrs. Oscar Christensen; three brothers, Edgar, of Genoa, John, of Columbus, and William, at home. He was a nephew of Mrs. A. H. Backus, of Columbus. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the home, with Rev. Elmer Anderson, pastor of Bethany church, in charge of the last rites.
