Court St., and formerly of Batavia, died Nov. 28, 1994, at 10:40 a.m. at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa. He was born June 21, 1910, in Solon to Sanford and Mamie Swartout Fetters. He married Golda Orman on March 3, 1956. He was raised and educated in Batavia, graduating from Batavia High School in 1929. In his early life he farmed with his parents. After working in Ottumwa for a short time, he owned and operated Fetters Pool Hall in Batavia for 25 years, retiring in 1976. After he retired, he moved to Ottumwa. He was a 50-year member of the Eagles Lodge and a social member of American Legion in Ottumwa. He attended First Christian Church in Ottumwa. He is survived by two daughters, Rona Stufflebeam of Hudson, Ohio and Cynthia Gordon of Forest Lake, Minn.; a son, Trenton Fetters of Cal Neu Air, Nev.; a stepson, Jerry Adams of Warsaw, N.C.; a stepdaughter, Yvonne Sipe of Pella; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Myron “Pete” Fetters of Ottumwa; and a sister, Elsie Haroun of Aledo, Ill. The service will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Campbell-Kremer Funeral Home in Batavia, the Rev. William McDermet of First Christian Church in Ottumwa officiating.
