He died on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1996, at Lincoln General Hospital at the age of 93. He was married to Dorthy Frances Maranello on Dec. 16, 1935. Four children were born to this union. Richard, Jerry Janice, who died shortly after birth, and DeAnne. Earl was an honest man who loved life, his family and framing. He was a dedicated and loving husband and father, who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family. Earl spent his entire life farming in the Fairmont area. He had a thorough understanding of the land and he took great pride in being an excellent farmer. He enjoyed sitting outside watching the farmland he loved change from season to season. Earl was a quiet, contemplative and generous man with a positive outlook on life. He laughed easily and often, many times until tear rolled down his face, while not making a sound. He had an extraordinary memory of people, places and events, often serving as the local coffee shop historian. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, William and Fannie Frazier; two sisters, Bess Delaney of Exeter and Mildred Brower of Geneva; and a brother, Ira of Fairmont. Earl is survived by his wife, Dorthy; three children and six grandchildren, Richard and wife Susan, and their children, Sheri and Shwan and his wife Barbi; Jerry and wife Shirley of Waverly and their children Soctt and Lori (Kevin) Bourn; and DeAnne (Larry) Baer of Tacoma, Wash. and their children Michael Martin and Christina Martin; one sister Ruth Smith of Paramount, Cal.; and by two brothers-in-law, Floyd Maranello of Exeter, and Les Maranello of Marysville, Cal. Funeral services were conducted from the Fairmont Community Church on Monday, Dec. 2, with Rev. Melanie Adams officiating. Mrs. Marvin Swartz accompanied Kelly Eich, who sang "In the Garden" and "Amazing Grace." Casket bearers were Melvin Ackerman, Kevin Bourn, Scott Frazier, Shawn Frazier, Bill Kleinschmidt, and Gary Kness. Honorary casket bearers were Michael Martin and Floyd Maranello.
