Description	:	Mr. Ernest E. Shore, age 85, of Blowing Rock, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 2, 2010, at Blowing Rock Hospital. Mr. Shore was born July 10, 2010 in Watauga County, a son of the late Finley and Florence Brown Shore. He was a retired sawmill operator and coal hauler, and a member of Sandy Flats Baptist Church. Mr. Shore is survived by one daughter, three sons, one brother, two sisters, nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and five great great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Ernest E. Shore will be conducted Wednesday afternoon, May 5, 2010, at 2:00 o'clock, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. The body will lie in state, at the chapel, from 12:30 until 2:00 o'clock. Officiating will be Reverend John Borders and Reverend Bill Warren. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon, from 12:30 noon until 2:00 o'clock, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
