He was born in Ellensburg on April 1, 1901, a son of the late William F. and Mary (Pott) Webster. As a youngster he worked in the family business, Webster's Cafe, which was started by his father in 1909 and following graduation from Ellensburg High School he became active in the family operation. He is survived by his wife, ?, whom he married in Seattle in 1971; two sons, Walter Webster of Bellevue, and Sam Webster of Ellensburg; six daughters, Winifred Thorp of Ellensburg, Audrey ? of Seattle, Evangeline Forrester of Bellevue, Carol ? of Mt. Vernon, Lorie Petrovich of Sumner and Linda Starkovich of Oregon; 47 grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Webster and ? Webster both of Seattle; and two sisters, Clara Wales and ? Spence both of Ellensburg. Rosary service will be Friday, 6 p.m. at St. Andrews Catholic Church. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. also at St. Andrews. The Rev. John Murth will officiate and burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
