Description	:	There is no known death record for Eaton, but his life was documented in the records. His first appearance was in the 1810 census in Franklin County, NC, with a wife and daughter. That would be Rebeccah Medlin and daughter Martha. Next to him in that census was his brother William, and nearby were Bradley Medlin and Bannister Young. His first appearance was in the 1810 census in Franklin County, NC, with a wife and daughter. That would be Rebeccah Medlin and daughter Martha. Next to him in that census was his brother William, and nearby were Bradley Medlin and Bannister Young. Two pages over was the cluster of six Youngs, Joseph, Robert, Stephen, James, Demetrius, and Molly. Eaton was closely associated with the Medlins and Youngs throughout his life. Eaton married Rebecca Medlin in Franklin County in 1810, (bondsman Banister Young) and they moved to Wilson County, TN the following year. He served in the war of 1812 in Tennessee, and was in the 1820 census there with 5 girls and a boy. His next appearance in the records was in Madison County, TN in 1850, age 57. His last appearance was in the 1870 census, at age 80, living with W. Lunsford. It is not known how many children Eaton and Rebecca had, because they were missing from the 1830 and 1840 censuses. The known children are Martha, Melinda, Alfred, William, and Henry Lee. Rebecca was not present in the 1850 census. The only known evidence of her identity was her marriage record in 1810. Her last known child was Henry Lee, born in 1840. If Eaton had a gravestone, it cannot be found. He is no doubt buried in Young Cemetery, because he was living with William and Martha Young in his old age. All of the gravestones from that time have crumbled, and there were no cemetery records for that time.
