Description	:	Ebenezer was a son of William Boynton (1760 - 1814) and Mary Huckins(1766 - 1834.) He married four times and had twelve children. His first marriage was to Betsey Smith (Hart) of Meredith, Strafford, New Hampshire, daughter of Theodore Hart and Abigail Smith. Ebenezer Boynton and Betsey Smith Hart were married on 18 May, 1823 in Meredith or New Hampton, Strafford, New Hampshire. Both raised their families and practiced medicine in Lisbon, Grafton, New Hampshire. After Ebenezer's wife Betsey's death 13 June, 1836 in Meredith, he married his second wife, Susan Roberta Huckins. Ebenezer married Susan Roberta Huckins, daughter of Robert Huckins and Deborah Gordon of New Hampton, New Hampshire on 8 October, 1836 in Meredith. Together, they had seven children, the first three born in Meredith, the last four born in Meredith or Plymouth: James Henry Boynton - b. 23 Mar 1838, m. After Susan (Huckins) Boynton's death on on 7 February, 1856 in New Hampton, Belknap, New Hampshire, Ebenezer remarried for a third time. On 29 October, 1856, Ebenezer remarried for a third time to Mrs. Hannah B. Cheney, widow of a man named George Cheney, whose maiden name was Bailey. Hannah Bailey Cheney Boynton died prior to 1865; precise death date is unknown. On 12 July, 1865, Ebenezer remarried for a fourth time to widow Mrs. Betsey Kelsey, widow of a man name William Kelsey, whose maiden name was Kimball. Betsey Kimball Kelsey Boynton died on 6 August, 1877. The minister who presided was Reverend Lewis Howard, who was a Methodist –Episcopal minister from New Hampshire. From #2 (Stearns - see below) 'In his youth Ebenezer moved from New Hampton, N.H. to the neighboring town of Meredith where he was reared to agricultural pursuits. In 1841 he moved to Plymouth where he remained for twelve years, going in 1853 to Canterbury and finally in 1866 to Lisbon, where he spent the last fifteen years of his life. Ebenezer resided in New Hampton, Meredith, Plymouth 1841, Canterbury 1853 and Lisbon.' However, he actually lived the last couple of years in Landaff: Ebenezer moved to Landaff, New Hampshire prior to 1880. In 1880, Ebenezer was living alone in Landaff, New Hampshire, boarding at the home of Charles and Martha King, who are not known to be relatives. Although he still appeared to be farming, he was suffering from what was described as ‘imbecility,'which, may have been a form of senility such as Altzheimer's.
