Hansen 4/15/1899 - 1/3/1965 65 years Woodbine Cemetery Records Book 2, Page 51 Eda Hansen Mrs. Hans (Eda) Hansen, 65, of Valley City, passed away at the home of her son in West Fargo Sunday morning. Eda Petra Davidson as born April 15, 1899, in Valley City, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Davidson. She was baptized in the Methodist Church. The family moved to Green Township and she attended District 40 school and later the Valley City Normal School. On June 19, 1920, she was united in marriage with Hans A. Hansen in Minneapolis. They made their home on the farm in Green Township. Mr. Hansen passed away July 4, 1961. In the fall of 1962 Mrs. Hansen moved to Valley City. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, the Green Homemakers and the Barnes County Homemakers Chorus. Mrs. Hansen served as state president of the N. D. Homemakers Clubs. She was president of the Legion Auxiliary and served as county chairman of the Sister Kenny Foundation for a number of years. Mrs. Hansen served as chairman of the district Make it with Wool contest for several years. She had been a 4-H Club leader for more than 25 years. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Rachel) Tompt of Fargo; three sons, Howard of West Fargo, Gordon of Tule Lake, Calif. And W. Richard of rural Valley City. A sister, Mrs. Harold (Edna) Bruns of rural Valley City; three brothers, Arthur of Hemet, Calif., Walter of Cheverly, Maryland, and Clarence of White Bear Lake, Minn.; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.n. form the Epworth Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Unkenholz officiating. interment will be in Woodbine Cemetery.
