Read More	ED BISHOP DEAD Had Been Ill For Several Months Ed Bishop, a long time resident of Newton and Jasper county, died at the home of his son, Roy Bishop, Thursday morning. He had been ill for several months suffering from heart trouble but his death was sudden and unexpected. Mr. Bishop is one of the well known salesmen of the old school. When yet a young man he took up work as a traveling salesman and was for a number of years agent for lighning rods company. He has many friends who will grieve with his family at their loss. He was born in 1853 in Vermont and came to Newton when but a small child. In 1885 he married Dora Bell Rawlins and to this union five children were born. He is survived by his widow and children, Misses Kittie of Newton, Grace, of Menlo, and Mrs. Irene Smith of Des Moines, Roy, of Newton, Daris of Ohio. His sister Mrs. Lydia Sample, his brothers Hilan Bishop of Murphy, and Homer Bishop of Kansas City. No funeral announcements have been made.
