Description	:	Edgar Haines - There passed away at his home on Thursday afternoon, January 17, a well known and respected citizen in the person of Mr. Edgar Haines. The deceased who was 82 years of age was born at Conquerall Bank, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Haines. His entire life was spent in his home village. Read More	Edgar Haines - There passed away at his home on Thursday afternoon, January 17, a well known and respected citizen in the person of Mr. Edgar Haines. The deceased who was 82 years of age was born at Conquerall Bank, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Haines. His entire life was spent in his home village. Mr. Haines suffered a paralytic stroke two years ago and since then was a semi-invalid, yet his death was sudden and unexpected. The late Mr. Haines was a carpenter by trade. For many years he worked in the ship yard operated by J.N. Rafuse and Sons. Later he worked as house carpenter. As a special hobby, Mr. Haines devoted his hands and patience to the making of ships and encasing them in bottles. Mr. Haines was a Harbor Master and in charge of the buoys on the LaHave River for several years. He was one of the two last surviving members of Court Conquerall Ancient Order of Foresters, being a member until his death. He is survived by his sorrowing wife, Emma, and an only son Stanley at home, who tenderly helped to care for his father. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Chas. Rafuse (Lavinia) and Miss Ida of Conquerall Bank and a sister, Mrs. Grethe (Blanche) of Winchester, Mass. He was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur and Eber of Conquerall Bank and a sister, Mrs. Laban Corkum (Ada) of Lake Centre. Funeral service was held Sunday from the Church of England of which church he was a member and served nine years as Warden. Service was conducted by Rev. Jeffery.......
