Description	:	Edgar LeRoy Gardner, 58, died of heart failure at St. Catherine Hospital, in McCook, Nebraska. He had been in poor health for several months preceding his death. He was the son of Ed and Louisa Gardner, born May 26, 1869 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, and passed away to the great beyond Nov. 13, 1927 at McCook, Nebraska. Read More	Edgar LeRoy Gardner, 58, died of heart failure at St. Catherine Hospital, in McCook, Nebraska. He had been in poor health for several months preceding his death. He was the son of Ed and Louisa Gardner, born May 26, 1869 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, and passed away to the great beyond Nov. 13, 1927 at McCook, Nebraska. During the summer of 1888 he moved with his parents from Ohio and came westward into Nebr. where they settled on a homested in Hayes County. In his youth he was confirmed and united with the Lutheran Church (Lock # 17) in Ohio, and remained true to his faith until death. June 22, 1892 he was united in marriage to Della Edna Graves. To this union three sons were born; Clyde, Alvin and Grey, all of Hamlet. In 1902, he and his family moved to Chase County, near Imperial, NE. where they resided five years and then returned back to near Hamlet. Throughout his entire life he was always ready to do his part, being highly esteemed and respected for his honesty and integrity. He was a kind and loving husband and father, and very devoted to family and friends and will be missed by all. During his last illness he suffered a great deal, but when he came to the end he peacefully passed to rest. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, three sons, three brothers; George and Sherman of Wauneta, and Lon of Emmett, Idaho; two sisters; Emma Griffeth of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Stella Dick of McCook, four grandchildren; Echo, Vaughn, Bonnie Belle and Robert of Hamlet. Rev. George Almond officiated at his funeral service.
