Born September 21, 1930 in Spartanburg, daughter of the late Arthur Cephus and Kathleen Wood Brown; widow of John Watson Stephens. Retired from L.C.F Water District in Chesnee, a member of Cherokee Springs Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Cherokee Springs Fire Department. Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Alice Easler (Tommy) of Simpsonville, Paula Easler (Rick) of Cherokee Springs; sister, Jean Page (Ned) of Greenville; brothers, A.C. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Ruby Davis; brother, Jimmy Brown and a very special sister-in-law, Bonnie Brown. Funeral services were 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Cherokee Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Lark and Rev. Tommy Ramey officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the church. Memorials could be made to Regency Hospice, Southern Care 818 E. Main Street Spartanburg, SC 29302.
