Description	:	Edith C. Christianson, 85, Minot, formerly of Kenaston, ND, died Sunday, December 28, 2003, in a Minot nursing home. She was born January 21, 1918, in Niobe, ND, to Andrew K. and Ebba (Mogren) Johnson. She was baptized at Elmdale Lutheran Church in Niobe. Early in her childhood, she moved with her family to Central Butte, Saskatchewan, Canada, where she lived and received most of her education. Christianson, 85, Minot, formerly of Kenaston, ND, died Sunday, December 28, 2003, in a Minot nursing home. She was born January 21, 1918, in Niobe, ND, to Andrew K. and Ebba (Mogren) Johnson. She was baptized at Elmdale Lutheran Church in Niobe. Early in her childhood, she moved with her family to Central Butte, Saskatchewan, Canada, where she lived and received most of her education. At the age of 17, she and her mother returned to Kenmare, where she went to work at the Irvin Hotel. She married Roy Christianson in Minot on June 30, 1938. They settled in Kenaston, ND, where they farmed and raised their family nearly all their married lives. Family gatherings and special occasions were a favorite time for Edith. In addition to being a farm wife and mother, Edith enjoyed spending time with her friends in Homemakers, Birthday Club, the Nazareth Lutheran church circle, and bowling, which she did for many years. She also was an avid card player who spent many hours with her friends. In later years, Edith and Roy spent time traveling, which took them to Europe, Alaska, Canada and many parts of the United States. Roy passed away on April 11, 1995. In the fall of 2000, she moved to Minot where she lived at the Brentmoor Assisted Living Center and also Edgewood Vista, both in Minot. She attended Nazareth Lutheran Church, Kenmare. Her husband, parents, and grandson, two sisters, one brother, one step-granddaughter, one step-great grandson, and numerous other relatives preceded Edith in death. MEMORIALS are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association. Funeral Service: Saturday, January 3, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Kenmare, ND.
