Description	:	Mrs. Edith Smith, 43, wife of Willard Smith, of West Madison street died over the week-end. The death of Mrs. Smith is an extremely sad one as six children are made motherless. About two weeks ago, Mrs. Smith met with an accident in which she suffered a broken arm and death was caused by an embolism, thought to have started from this injury. She was an exceptionally well loved woman, a kind and devoted wife and mother and her passing is a matter of much regret. Mrs. Smith was born in Hamilton county, near Atlanta, November 12,1893. Her parents, both deceased, being John and Mary B. (Millerer) Liston. When a young girl, the family removed to a farm south of Tipton, and practically all of her life was spent in this county. She resided in Tipton for the past ten years. The husband, for a long time, was employed as night man at local garages. Besides the husband, Mrs. Smith is survived by six children; Raymond, Russell, Louise, Donald, Alice and Delores, all at home. She is also survived by two brothers, Jesse Liston, residing on the Richman farm, and Earl Liston, of Tipton; and two sisters, Mrs. Omer Thomas, of Atlanta, and Mrs. Harry Cochran, residing near Tipton. The body was taken to the Leatherman funeral home for preparation and to await services, which were held at the funeral home at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, with Rev. S.P. Stapp, pastor of the First Baptist Church in charge. Burial was in Fairview cemetery.
