KENNETH BRODY SUCCUMBS TO ILLNESS, VINTON NEWS Mrs. Kenneth Brody, a former Vinton resident, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elsie Thorson at Cedar Rapids, early this morning. Mrs. Brody, 66 years old, had been ill for almost two and one-half years. She was born at Liverpool, England, March 27, 1879, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Dodd. In 1907 she came to this country with her parents and was married to Kenneth Brody at Janesville, Wis., in 1911. Mrs. Brody was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Vinton and did practical nursing. Besides her husband and the daughter with whom she was living, the deceased is survived by the following children: Mrs. Grace Grosegebauer, Cle Elum, Wash., Mrs. Gladys Parker, New York, N. Y., William Brody, serving with the marines in China, Mrs. Thompson, Webster City, and Daisy Brody, Seattle, Wash; surviving are 14 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements wait the arrival of a daughter from Seattle, Wash.
