Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard with Pastor Robin Haines of the Flint Hills Assembly of God officiating. Interment will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard. Memorials are suggested to the Howard Twilight Manor or the Howard Senior Center, and they may be left with the funeral home. Mrs. Harrod was born on March 24, 1917 southeast of Howard to Theodore and Mattie (Burtch) McDonald. She graduated from Howard High school in 1936. On Feb. 28, 1937, she married Glenn R. Harrod at Howard, and he died in 1970. Mrs. Harrod assisted her husband on their farm, drove a bus for the Union Center school and worked at Toot's Drive-In for several years. Survivors include a son, Michael Harrod, Howard; a brother, Kenneth McDonald, Topeka, three grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
