Mrs. Lewey was born in Narrows, Va. on October 30, 1905 and was a daughter of the late Augustus (Gus) and Mollie Blankenship Hodge. She was a charter member of the Pearisburg Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She was active in the Ladies Bible Class and the Christian Womens Fellowship and was a member of the church choir. Read More	LEWEY, Edith Hodge, 94, of Largo, Florida, formerly of Pearisburg, died Friday, August 10, 2000 in Largo, Florida Nursing Home following a long illness. Mrs. Lewey was born in Narrows, Va. on October 30, 1905 and was a daughter of the late Augustus (Gus) and Mollie Blankenship Hodge. She was a charter member of the Pearisburg Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She was active in the Ladies Bible Class and the Christian Womens Fellowship and was a member of the church choir. She was a graduate of Radford University and taught school in Giles County for 18 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Franklin Lewey, Sr. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joe Lewey, Jr. and his wife, Shirley of Largo, Fla.; two granddaughters, Andrea Parkin of Oxford, N. J., Tiffany and Eric Byrne of Odessa, Texas; four great-granddaughters; and one nephew, Billy Edward Hodge of Pearisburg, Va. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 15, 2000 at 11 a.m. in the Givens Funeral Chapel, Pearisburg, with the Rev. E. C. Redmond officiating, with interment in Birchlawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
