Description	:	Mrs. Edith Watson, age 82, of Alton, passed away Wednesday, December 11, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital. Edith was born March 2, 1909, at Lesterville, South Dakota, the daughter of Albert and Pauline (Gimbel) Frank. She was raised in South Dakota. On June 16, 1926, she married Daniel Watson at Menno, South Dakota. They made their home in northwest Iowa. Since 1942, they have lived in Alton. He passed away April 5, 1988, at Orange City. Read More	Mrs. Edith Watson, age 82, of Alton, passed away Wednesday, December 11, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital. Edith was born March 2, 1909, at Lesterville, South Dakota, the daughter of Albert and Pauline (Gimbel) Frank. She was raised in South Dakota. On June 16, 1926, she married Daniel Watson at Menno, South Dakota. They made their home in northwest Iowa. Since 1942, they have lived in Alton. He passed away April 5, 1988, at Orange City. Survivors include her two daughters, Betty, and her husband, LeRoy Kirschenman, of Menno, South Dakota; and Mary, and her husband, Donald Minten, of Alton; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Victor Frank, of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and Helmuth Frank, of Long Beach, California; and two sisters, Olenda Chytka, of Okanogan, Washington; and Doris Holbrook, of Simi Valley, California. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Velma Mae, in 1947; premature son Willis; and three brothers. Funeral services were held Friday, December 13 at the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City. Mr. Dan Sherick and Mr. Dan Henry officiated. Interment followed at Nassau Township Cemetery, near Alton. Siouxland Press - 18 December 1991
