Description	:	Edith Swim Edith LaVerne Swim, 84, of Eddyville died Aug. 17, 1992, at Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa. Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Eddyville Funeral Chapel, Rev. Lois Williams and Grant Wiley officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Creek Cemetery, in Mahaska County. She was born Sept. 3, 1907, in Truax, to Otto and Rena Hoit Poe. She married Calvin M. Swim on April 7, 1926, in Truax. He died in 1961. She was a member of Eddyville First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; three brothers, Gerald, Clayton and Edgar; and two sisters, Leola Williams and Margaret Poe.
