Description	:	Edith Mae Drye Lowder, 85, of Albemarle passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 in her home. Her funeral service will be 12 Noon on Tuesday in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Whitley and Rev. Charles Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10:30 until 11:30 prior to the service. Mrs. Lowder was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mills Co. and also was a certified cosmetologist. She was a member of the Four Square Gospel Church in Albemarle. She loved her family and church and she loved to play the piano and sing. She also enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Mrs. Lowder is survived by her husband Robert Alfred Lowder of the home. Other survivors include four daughters, Gail Garner and husband Bobby of Albemarle, June Lowder of Albemarle, Debbie Bachofen and husband Max of Raleigh, and Robbie Powell and husband Bill of Statesville, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001.
