Description	:	Edith (Mae) Dorey Edith Mae Dorey, 89, of Bridgewater passed away peacefully February 18, 2003 at Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay. Born in Bridgewater she was the daughter of the late William and Ida May Weagle. To all who knew her she was known as May. She was a devoted wife who took care of her husband Joseph of 33 years until his passing in 1967. She remained a widow but was never alone with family and friends always near her. She loved to sew and quilt in her pastime. Always caring for others, her door was always open to family, friends... Read More	Edith (Mae) Dorey Edith Mae Dorey, 89, of Bridgewater passed away peacefully February 18, 2003 at Mahone Nursing Home, Mahone Bay. Born in Bridgewater she was the daughter of the late William and Ida May Weagle. To all who knew her she was known as May. She was a devoted wife who took care of her husband Joseph of 33 years until his passing in 1967. She remained a widow but was never alone with family and friends always near her. She loved to sew and quilt in her pastime. Always caring for others, her door was always open to family, friends and even strangers. She was always happy with what she had in life and was never one to complain. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She was predeceased by her sister Inez and a brother Dawson. She is survived by daughters Bernice Clarke (Donald), Martins Brook; Joyce Llewellyn (Bowman), Wileville; grandchildren; Gary, Carolyn, Wade, Jeffery, Diana, Mitchell, Shelley, Gail, Debbie, Pamela and Jane. 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held at Sweeny's Funeral Chapel, Bridgewater. Archdeacon John Clarke officiating. Interment was in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Organist was Margaret Hutchinson. Pallbearers were Donald Mahaney, Bazil Meisner, Jeffery Llewellyn, Timmy Llewellyn, John Hiltz and Daniel Creaser. Flowers: Casket spray - daughters Bernice, Joyce and families; arrangement - granddaughter Carolyn and family; arrangement - grandson Gary and family; wreath - grandson Jeffery and family; heart - granddaughter Shelley and family; cross - granddaughter Diana and Andy; arrangement - Donna Mercer and family; rose-in-hand - Victoria and Diana; lid roses - Jenna, Kaitlin, Bailee, Josie, Pamela, Debbie, Gail and Jane. Donations were made to the charity of choice.
