Description	:	Edith Ring Funeral services for Edith Ring of Riceville, were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 20, 1997, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville. Rev. Matthew Versemann officiated. Interment was in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery south of Riceville with Conway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. She died Thursday, January 16, 1997, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Edith Maxine Ring was born on September 18, 1914, at Rose Hill, IA, the daughter of Thomas and Daisy (Perkins) Denney. Edith Maxine Ring was born on September 18, 1914, at Rose Hill, IA, the daughter of Thomas and Daisy (Perkins) Denney. She was united in marriage to Richard Jones in 1930, and later married Clarence Ring in 1947 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville. Edith belonged to the St. Peter's Lutheran Ladies Aid. She enjoyed sewing and was also an avid card player. Survivors include her husband; her children: Beverly Valencic of Waukegan, IL; Richard Jones of Lodi, WI; Thomas Jones of Guam, U.S.A.; William Ring of Manly, IA; and Linda Kinneman of Riceville; a son-in-law, Edward Pichelman; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one brother Bill Denney of Davenport, IA. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Pichelman; one son, Herbert Jones; two grandchildren; her parents; and three brothers, Clifford Denney, Homer (Bud) Denney and Thomas Denney, Jr.
