Mrs. Marshall died Saturday, April 29, 1989, at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont. She was a homemaker. Edith Plugge was born Jan. 22, 1913, in Pender. She came to Arlington during the 8th grade and graduated from Arlington High School in 1930. Marshall, 76, of Arlington, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Arlington Community Church. Mrs. Marshall died Saturday, April 29, 1989, at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont. She was a homemaker. Edith Plugge was born Jan. 22, 1913, in Pender. She came to Arlington during the 8th grade and graduated from Arlington High School in 1930. She received a teaching certificate from Wayne State College, and taught at Whitford School in Washington County, serving as a substitute teacher there for several years. She worked at McClellan Insurance Agency and later worked at Arlington State Bank for many years. She was a member of Arlington Community Church and Church Circle and taught Sunday school. She was a member of Just For Fun Extension Club, Sarepta Chapter 48, Order of Eastern Star, for which she was a Past Worthy Matron, and served as secretary for the organization for many years. She married Howard Marshall May 23, 1934, in Arlington. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Stephen of St. Edward; a brother, Gordon Plugge of Lillian, Ala.; and five grandchildren. The Rev. Robert Sanders will officiate Thursday’s services. Visitation begins 9 a.m. today at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Chapel in Arlington. Order of Eastern Star services will be conducted by Sarepta Chapter 48 at the graveside. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Arlington Rescue Squad.
