Description	:	KEARNEY---Edith O. Hunter, 103, of Kearney, mother of Margaret A. Downey of Pleasanton, died Tuesday, May 28, 1991, at the Mother Hull Home in Kearney. Services are planned at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pleasanton Evangelical Free Church with the Revs. Brian Fugelberg and Baldeo Singh officiating. Burial will be at the Pleasanton Cemetery. She was born February 1, 1888, to Samuel Avial Kinney and Julia Rosemont Smead Kinney in Verdon, Richardson County, Nebraska. Services are planned at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pleasanton Evangelical Free Church with the Revs. Brian Fugelberg and Baldeo Singh officiating. Burial will be at the Pleasanton Cemetery. She was born February 1, 1888, to Samuel Avial Kinney and Julia Rosemont Smead Kinney in Verdon, Richardson County, Nebraska. She grew up in Blue Springs and was graduated from Blue Springs High School in 1904. She attended Peru State Normal School in 1905-1906. She taught school in Wymore for a year, then moved to Pleasanton and taught school for a year. She married Arthur Hunter on December 29, 1909. They farmed in the Pleasanton and Amherst ares until retiring and moving to Pleasanton. Survivors included her daughter, Margaret Downey, Pleasanton, who also died Tuesday; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
