Description	:	Funeral services for Edith Ortmeier, RN, of Omaha, formerly of West Point, were held Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point. Rev Thomas R. Hitch officiated and burial was in St. Michael's cemetery. Ray J. Smith mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Miss Ortmeier passed away Tuesday June 2 at 7:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Hospital in Omaha after a short illness. She died at the age of 53 years and 3 months. Pallbearers were Harvey, Ray, Casper, Wenzel, Henry Ortmeier, and Frank Drueke. Edith Ortmeier, RN, was born in West Point, NE on Mar. 2, 1906 to Henry & Theresa Brunke Ortmeier. She received her education in Guardian Angels high school and graduated from St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing at Omaha. At the time of her death, she was working as a Technician at the office of Dr. C. Hansen and Dr. S. Magiera of Omaha. She was a member of the Omaha Council of catholic Nurses and of St. Mary Magdalene's church in Omaha. Surviving are three sisters; Marie, Catherine, Mrs. Clara (Henry) Tingelhoff, two brothers, Ferdinand and Bernard Ortmeier and nieces and nephews. Out of town persons attended the funeral from Omaha, Crofton, Lyons, Snyder, Dodge, Scribner, Emerson, North Bend, and Rochester, MN.
