Edith "Elaine" (Dorn) Warren, 78 February 19, 1932 ~ August 24, 2010 Edith Elaine was born Feb. 19, 1932, in Tekamah, Nebraska, to Lewis and Violet (Moore) Dorn. She attended school in Tekamah, where she graduated in 1950. On May 19, 1951, she married Lloyd Warren from Decatur, Nebraska. Edith "Elaine" (Dorn) Warren, 78 February 19, 1932 ~ August 24, 2010 Edith Elaine was born Feb. 19, 1932, in Tekamah, Nebraska, to Lewis and Violet (Moore) Dorn. She attended school in Tekamah, where she graduated in 1950. On May 19, 1951, she married Lloyd Warren from Decatur, Nebraska. Elaine worked for Northwestern Bell in Tekamah while Lloyd was drafted to the Korean War, and sent to Germany. After his return home, they moved to Denver, Colo., where they lived for 10 years. The couple returned to live in Blair, Nebraska to raise their family of three, where Elaine worked at the Washington County Courthouse in the County Superintendent of School's office for 27 years. She enjoyed traveling, bridge, Wii bowling, and especially spending time with her friends and family. She was most proud of her eight beautiful grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy in her later years. Elaine Warren, 78, of Blair, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, in Blair, Nebraska. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Tim Brechbill of Omaha, Kay and Mark Petersen of Blair; son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Kristie Warren of Kennard; eight grandchildren, Mandy Petersen, Jenny Petersen-Fitch and husband, Kyle; Jake Petersen and Jackson Petersen; Kristopher and Matthew Warren; Ryan Brechbill and Kelsey Brechbill-Simpson and husband, Tim; five great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Ray Simpson of Craig and Vidi and J.D. Little of Marshfield, Mo.; one brother, George Dorn of Grand Island; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, John, Lewis "Bud" and Bill Dorn; sisters, Margaret Hansen and Jean Thompson. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at the First United Methodist Church in Blair. Interment will be at the Tekamah Cemetery.
