Born in Greenville, she was wife of Charles Earle Jones and daughter of the late James Carlisle Scott and Beulah Wilson Scott. Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Gaffney High School and attended Limestone College. Born in Greenville, she was wife of Charles Earle Jones and daughter of the late James Carlisle Scott and Beulah Wilson Scott. Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Gaffney High School and attended Limestone College. She retired from Southern Bell after 37 years of service, was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the Altrusa Club of Spartanburg County. She was a member of Reidville Road United Methodist Church where she served on numerous committees. Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Tom Sarratt of Columbia; a daughter, Jane Sarratt Wilson and husband, Danny, of Moore; a brother, James C. Scott and wife, Charlotte, of Simpsonville; two grandchildren, Daniel Scott Wilson and wife, Erin, and Katherine Elizabeth Wilson. She was preceded in death by three sisters. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Reidville Road United Methodist Church in Moore, S.C. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Church with Rev. Danny Wylie and Rev. James Ellis Griffith officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Gaffney. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Reidville Road United Methodist Church, 5575 Reidville Road, Moore, S.C. 29369. The family will be at their respective homes.
