Description	:	Edmond Andrews, 89 years of age, and one of the pioneers of Tipton county, died at the home of his son, Edmond Andrews, Jrs, west or Windfall, Friday afternoon about 3 o'clock, death ending an illness which lasted for tho past five years. He was confined to his bed all of that time. The direct cause of death was asthma and heart complications from which he suffered many years. Thursday his condition became so much worse that the relatives were summoned and were present at the bedside when the end came. Edmond Andrews was one of the interesting men of the county. He resided in the Windfall community for the past fifty-two years. He was born in Kentucky, July 2, 1835, his mother dying when he was hut a babe in arms and his father married the second wife. In 1860, Mr. Andrews was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Reaves, a Kentucky girl, and resided in that state until some time later, when he and his family removed to Shelby county, arriving there with his wife and one child. He resided in that county until 1872 when the family removed to Tipton county, and he purchased thirty-two acres of land. Seven children were born to the couple, three of whom survive, all of whom live in the Rock Prairie neighborhood northeast of Tipton. They are Mrs, John T. Smith, Edmond Andrews and Andrew Andrews. The deceased has always been regarded with the highest respect by all who knew him and was an industrious, upright citizen, who made and held many friends. The wife died many years ago. Funeral services will be conducted at the Rock Prairie church, of which he was an honored member, at 1:30 p.m. Sunday and burial will take place in the Nevada cemetery.
