Edna was united in marriage to Stephen J. Bygland on December 31, 1957 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Foster, Nebraska. The couple lived on a farm in rural Albion. Edna was confirmed in 1953 and was a member of Immanuel Zion Lutheran Church (South Branch) in rural Albion, where she was an active member of their Ladies Aid and Bible Study. She was also a member of the Sons of Norway and Extension Club. Her hobbies included quilting, playing cards, listening and dancing to Polka music, spending time with her grandchildren and visiting. She is survived by: children, Frank Bygland and Mary Yrkoski and husband Joe; grandchildren: Amanda, Samantha, and Elizabeth; brother Phillip Lubke and wife LaVonne; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends. Edna was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Stephen; sister, Elsie Ackerman; and brother, Henry Lubke. Funeral Services on Friday, October 8, 2010 at the Immanuel Zion Lutheran Church rural Albion. Burial at the Immanuel Zion South Cemetery. Obituary information from Levander Funeral Home.
