Cabe Mrs. Edna Amelia Cabe, 58, of the Clarks Chapel Community, died Tuesday, July 6, in Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, following an illness of two weeks. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of Mae Barron Cabe, and the late Ernest Cabe. Surviving besides the mother, is the husband, Jake D. Cabe, of Route 6, Franklin; five daughters, Mrs. James Freeman, of Lawrenceville, Ga., Mrs. Paul Jones, of Decatur, Ga., Mrs. Charles Keener, of Burlington, and Mrs. Tommy Cole, of Robbinsville; two sons, Charlie W. Cabe, of Franklin, and James Donald Cabe, of Pontiac, Mich.; three sisters, Mrs. Roy Cabe, of Franklin, Mrs. Paul Potts of Warren, Mich., and Mrs. Bill Thompson of Detroit, Mich.; seven brothers, Henry B., Leon, and Ernest Cabe, Jr., all of Franklin, Clyde Cabe, of Syilva, Howard Cabe, of Birmingham, Ala., Wiley Cabe, of Marietta, Ga., and Ralph Cabe, of Charleston, S. C.; and eight grandchildren. She was a member of Clarks Chapel United Methodist, where funeral services were held Thursday, July 8, at 11 a.m. Rev. W. A. Knight, pastor, Dr. W. Thomas Lane, and Rev. Fred Sorrells were the officiating ministers. Burial was in the church cemetery with James, Bennie, Frank and Bobby Cabe, Earl and Thomas Ammons serving as pallbearers. Bryant Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
