Description	:	EEdna Anderson, beloved sister, aunt, cousin and friend, died peacefully on Sept. 25, 2006, in St. James Healthcare after a very brief illness. Edna was born Nov. 22, 1921, in Anaconda. Her parents were Gertrude and Andrew Anderson. She was their fourth child of eight children. Her parents were Gertrude and Andrew Anderson. She was their fourth child of eight children. Edna attended St. Peter's Grade School, Anaconda Junior High School, and was a graduate of Butte Business College. She began her career in business in the Duval-Wallace Hardware Store in the office. From there, she worked in the business offices for the Intermountain Business Co., and the county treasurer's office. She then went to work for the Anaconda Co. in the business office for the fertilizer department and later held positions within the company in the personnel department and the insurance department. Edna was an active, energetic, vibrant person, always ready and willing to do something or to help anyone. She had a mathematical mind for remembering dates, occasions and names. She was an avid skier, bowler and golfer. She was an outdoor enthusiast who loved gardening, camping, picnicking, hiking and just enjoying God's nature. Enda and her sister Lorraine traveled extensively to many parts of the world, and she was always ready to do more. Some of her most-loved hobbies were knitting, cooking, ceramics, and playing the piano and organ. At one time, Edna was the president of the Ladies Soroptimist Association, secretary to the Women's Golf Association, member of the Daughters of Isabella and a lifetime member of St. Peter's Church. She is survived by her sisters, Lorraine Anderson and Shirley Anderson Lemieux (Mike); nieces Connie Rowe (Tom), Michele Lemieux, Deborah Lemieux; nephews Robert Walner (Elaine), Paul Lemieux (C. Kim), John Lemieux (Leslie); and many additional grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Paul, Robert and Roy and sisters Helen Walner (Albert) and Betty. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, at St. Peter's Church. There will be a vigil service on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at St. Peter's Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice in Edna's name. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. James Healthcare for their care, concern and sympathy concerning Edna. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
