Horn, the daughter of Braxton and Anna (Sesler) James, was born in Tilden, Nebraska on December 5, 1905. She graduated from the York Academy in York, Nebraska in 1924. On March 8, 1933, she was married to Leonard A. Horn at Tilden. They farmed south of Tilden until retiring into Norfolk, Nebraska in 1975. Edna was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Norfolk, held various offices and was a member of its Ruth Circle. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and was a past Noble Grand. She loved to help others which was shown in her involvement with sending care packages to the earthquake victims in San Francisco; Meals On Wheels; and the Soup Kitchen until her own feet gave out. On the night of March 17, 1993, Edna died at the Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. She was 87 years of age and is survived by her daughter, Mrs. LaVaughn (Arlyce) Boldt of Overland Park, Kansas; her brother, Dr. Jack James of Norfolk; three grandchildren, Mrs. Scott (Sherry) Ehle, and Kevin and Brian Boldt; and two great grandchildren; Braxton Chase Ehle and Jordan Elizabeth Ehle. obit courtesy of Pat Langan (#48400282)
