Edna Eleanor Hansen of Bentley passed away at the Lacombe Extended Care centre at the age of 91 years. She was born In Spokane, Washington on June 11, 1905 and moved to Alberta in 1911. She married Harry Hansen in 1924 and lived on the farm by Gull Lake for 70 years. During that time she was actively dedicated to farming, family, community and the United Church. Edna was a living example in her commitment to her family, friends and neighbours in whom she showed never wavering interest. Predeceased by her husband Harry, son Bill and granddaughter Kathy Anderson, and lovingly remembered by her son Cal (Jane) of Texas, daughters......... sister Marie Pearson of Red Dear, sister Mae Morton of Grand Forks, brother Frank Pico of Bruce, slster-ln-law Jean Pico of Bentley and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held from the Bentley United Church on Saturday, March 15, 1997 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Bentley Cemetery.
